Lesson 2

In this lesson, students are geared towards performance goals of executing five-stroke rolls in eighth notes at a metronome marking of 96 beats per minute.  The rolls are demonstrated by the instructor at the same time, and students are encouraged to play along.  The tempo is then accelerated to 112 beats per minute, and the five-stroke rolls are executed at the new tempo.  Students are encouraged to repeat the lesson until they are comfortable playing along at both tempo markings.
