Lesson 11

In this lesson, students are introduced to the process of quantizing music and how to use the function within “Garage Band.” Students are walked through a session in which different tracks are quantized to the values of quarter notes, eighth notes and sixteenth notes. Studio monitoring tools of solo/mute for tracks are also briefly covered to isolate tracks that are under work. With quantizing tools discussed, students are encouraged to quantize their music tracks appropriately for the rhythms played, and to always save sessions while in progress.
