Lesson 8
In this lesson, students are guided through the performance techniques needed to play “Best Day of My Life” on snare drum, which review releasing the snare mechanism and alternating strikes between the rim and the drum head. The vocal elements are reviewed independently of the playing, and then students are challenged by combining both singing and playing at the same time. The lesson concludes by encouraging students to continue to practice for fluidity in their performance.
