Lesson 9
In this lesson, students are guided through the performance techniques needed to play “Mas Que Nada” on snare drum, which review releasing the snare mechanism and alternating strikes between the drum head and the rim. In addition to the instructor reviewing vocal elements independently of the playing, students will learn the chorus in Portuguese. Students are then challenged by combining both singing and playing at the same time. The lesson concludes by encouraging students to continue to practice for fluidity in their performance.
