Lesson 10

In this lesson, students are introduced to adding rhythm to chord progressions in “Garage Band” by following a variety of demonstrations that highlight each of the primary rhythms in music, including quarter notes, eighth notes and sixteenth notes. Students are walked through a “Garage Band” session in which each of these rhythms are explained, demonstrated and recorded. Tips on track organization are reinforced, and students are encouraged to experiment with adding rhythms to their chord progressions within their own compositions.
