Lesson 16

In this lesson, students are introduced to the concept of delay, which adds a rhythmic repeat to a sound or track that can be then overlapped with the original track to create a new sound. Students are guided through a sample composition where the various types of delays are introduced, demonstrated within several tracks, then applied across the sample composition. The lesson concludes with encouraging students to be creative and apply delay effects to portions of their tracks to add a new level of movement and depth to their compositions.
