Lesson 4

In this lesson, students will be introduced to the fundamental instrumental percussion sounds needed to create EDM and Pop Patterns (bass drum, snare drum and hi hat), and how to correctly program each groove into “Garage Band.” Students will be guided through the steps of adding layers, and explore moving elements around within the beat to offer variations within the same style. The lesson concludes with encouraging students to create their own beats and variations within the styles covered.
