Lesson 7

In this lesson, students are introduced to some of the functions in “Garage Band” that can be used to create transitions in between sections of a song by splitting a track, deleting a segment just before the beginning of a new section, and inserting a variety of effects to add momentum moving into the next section.  Some specific effects covered are Swells, Risers and Fills.  Students are walked through examples of how to add these tool’s features to their digital compositions, and are encouraged to experiment and be creative on their own by adding some of these effects to enhance their musical transitions within their compositions.
