Virtual Music Courses
Virtual Music Courses provide students with the opportunity to study music on a global scale. Students can choose between Music Production, Drumline, Early Learning Pitch and Rhythm, or Modern Band. Along with our pre-recorded course materials and assignments, classes are supported with 75 hours a week of “Workshop Hours”.
Workshop Hours include private lessons, fully immersive classroom experiences, student led conversations and community engagement, masterclasses, and student presentations. All courses include virtual events and performances with a culminating student showcase.
Course Offerings
Drumline
This 100% percussion-based ensemble is one of our most rigorous and disciplined programs. Students learn to work as a unit through learning to read music, technical exercises and rudiments, and learning cadences for performance. This ensemble is especially suited for marches, demonstrations, and public performances.
Instrumentation: Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Cymbals, Tenor Drums.
Grades: 6-12
Modern Band
In this guitar-driven ensemble students master basic chords, technique, gain facility on their instrument, and learn to read music. As they work towards their end of semester performance, students learn to play Spanish-influenced instrumental music as well as popular songs.

Music Production
In this course, students are offered the opportunity to mix, arrange, and compose their own music by using the GarageBand application on an iPad. From the first lesson, students will be creating their own beats and learning to navigate the software, preparing for the end of the semester project - composing, arranging and mixing an original song.

Early Learning Pitch and Rhythm
This engaging program focuses on offering a basic understanding of music through the use of percussion instruments and vocal training while developing a strong sense of pitch and rhythm. This course equips the students with the musical foundation necessary for a successful transition into middle school.
Instrumentation: Vocals, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Percussion instruments
